Conformal bridge in a cosmic string background

چکیده

Hidden symmetries of non-relativistic $\mathfrak{so} (2,1)\cong \mathfrak{sl}(2, {\mathbb R})$ invariant systems in a cosmic string background are studied using the conformal bridge transformation. Geometric properties this analogous to those conical surface with deficiency/excess angle encoded "geometrical parameter" $\alpha$, determined by linear positive/negative mass density string. The free particle and harmonic oscillator on shown be related To identify integrals system, we employ local canonical transformation that relates model its planar version. is then used map obtained cone. Well-defined classical both models exist only at $\alpha=q/k$ $q,k=1,2,\ldots,$ which for $q>1$ higher-order generators finite nonlinear algebras. quantized arbitrary values $\alpha$; however, well-defined hidden symmetry operators associated spectral degeneracies when $\alpha$ an integer, reveals quantum anomaly.

Cosmic Gravitational Wave Background in String Cosmology

String cosmology models predict a stochastic cosmic background of gravitational waves with a characteristic spectrum. I describe the background, present astrophysical and cosmological bounds on it, and outline how it may be possible to detect it with gravitational wave detectors.

THE PC-TAU METHOD ON THE SOLUTION OF A MODEL OF AN ISOLATED COSMIC STRING

In this paper, we adapt the operational Tau Method for personal computers and apply it to a system of two nonlinear second order ordinary differential equations which are related to general relativity. The interesting behaviour this problem exhibits in its numerical treatment is discussed. In this problem, we try to use the Tau perturbation term to locate the correct solution of this nonlin...

A disintegrating cosmic string

We present a simple sandwich gravitational wave of the Robinson–Trautman family. This is interpreted as representing a shock wave with a spherical wavefront which propagates into a Minkowski background minus a wedge. (i.e. the background contains a cosmic string.) The deficit angle (the tension) of the string decreases through the gravitational wave, which then ceases. This leaves an expanding ...

Homogeneous Conformal String Backgrounds

We present exact solutions characterised by Bianchi-type I, II, III, V, VI 0 , VI h four-dimensional metric, space-independent dilaton, and vanishing torsion background, for the low energy string eeective action with zero central charge deecit. We show that, in such a context, curvature singularities cannot be avoided, except for the trivial case of at spacetime and constant dilaton. We also pr...

1 20. Cosmic background radiation 20. COSMIC BACKGROUND RADIATION

The observed cosmic microwave background (CMB) radiation provides strong evidence for the hot big bang. The success of pri-mordial nucleosynthesis calculations (see Sec. 16, " Big-bang nucle-osynthesis ") requires a cosmic background radiation (CBR) characterized by a temperature kT ∼ 1 MeV at a redshift of z ≃ 10 9. In their pioneering work, Gamow, Alpher, and Herman [1] realized this and pred...
